Ahhhh... vacation! Bliss!! Pure bliss. We have been having such a great time here in Wisconsin! I LOVE it when Patrick has a whole week off! Lots and lots of fun! Lots of skiing, seeing friends and family, playing in the snow, holiday outings, parks, sledding! the zoo! I hope this week crawls by! I'm totally loving it. Tomorrow is Patrick's 35th birthday! We have lots of fun planned for that too! Here are some vid's from this past week...

To our two most loyal readers: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Look forward to seeing you both soon!!!

Alexis, Hailey and Cy at the State Theater getting ready for the ballet.

Cy and I with the ballet dancers warming up behind us.

At the Macys holiday display today.

Toasting with Annie at Macy's Oak Grill during our annual "Christmas Outing Day."

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL! I am not sure what I wrote last week... but let's just say that we have been doing jam-packed holiday activities for the past few weeks. I think Cy & I have been downtown at least 4 times! We went to the Macy's holiday exhibit twice! (Once today!) We went to the Holidazzle parade with Katie last Sat night - it was coooold! Today we went with Julie, Alexis and Hailey to the Nutcracker Fantasy at the State Theater. Cy's first theater outing. He did pretty good! It was especially helpful that we ran into my friend Coryn and her two little girls there... they sat on the end so Cy was blocked into his seat and surrounded by young cute girls. He wasn't too interested in the ballet though. He was really into eating his goldfish (what's new!?) I think this year the holiday activities have been so fun because it keeps Cy busy with all NEW and exciting things he hasn't ever seen before.

holiday time

Hello! Patrick and  I threw a rockin (if I do say so myself!) dinner party for 9 on Saturday night! That's Jono on the helping make an app. Like his holiday garb!? And that's our pretty table. Turned out nice!

Meanwhile, Cy spent the day/night celebrating the holidays with grandma and grandpa. You wouldn't believe all the activities they fit into a 24+ hr period!

Today we went to the Como park conservatory. Soooo pretty! And warm! It was a nice and humid place to be when it was -4 degrees outside! If you look closely, you can see the Koi that Cy is looking at in the pond.

Cy's date, Carmen, and her chapperone Sarah joined us. Cy was elated!

This week has been filled with fun activities! Snow! Tomorrow...we go to downtown Macy's and see the big holiday display and Santa!

thanksgiving weekend in pics

Cy hamming it up at the Emmer's house on Thanksgiving day

going in for a game of "stinky feet" with grandpa (cy's favorite game!)

Chillin with the dudes (Grandpa Jim, Uncle Drew & Dad) watching the pack.

meanwhile Tim & Grandma Nan ("Nana") were working on the turkey..

After the meal Patrick & I crashed on the couch while Nana took Cy over to the park.

A few short hours later (like 8) we were up at the cabin, ready to begin the weekend up there! This is a pics of our cousins (Jeff, Sarah, Jacob & Joseph.) They stay in the grey cabin in the background. Funny story. One of the twins (I think Jacob) used to live in his #4 Green Bay jersey. He literally would wear it for a week straight. A little while ago they were at a store in Milwaukee (where they live) and an "old man" came up to him and told him he was wearing a traitor's jersey and that he shouldn't wear it. Since then it has hung in his closet untouched.

Grandma & Grandpa C had Cy's playroom all set up with a new kitchen and lots of play food. He begged to go down there all weekend long.

Dogs everywhere up there! This is Cody chasing Abby.

Jackson chillin' near the cabin. He didn't stray too far thanks to that invisible fence collar he had on all weekend!

Cy spent a lot of time exploring the great outdoors.

And we spent a lot of time chasing him!

Future Outward Bound candidate.
So we took our "little angel" over to Great-Grandpa (GG) Cy's cabin on Friday morning for the traditional breakfast & we asked little Cy to show GG Cy how he can now say "clock." Well, he said it allright. And GG Cy said "Why do you know that word? You don't need to know that word. No one uses it anymore!" And in my (slow) brain I was like, "hmmm.. maybe we don't really use the word clock anymore..." and laughed. Later (like a whole day) Uncle Jim mentioned how that was so funny & how GG Cy was actually thinking little Cy was saying "Clock" without the "L!!!!"

With Grandma, Grandpa, Jessie and Marley

Obligatory family shot. Nice shoes Emmer.

turkey week

Cy loves it when we get kicked out of our house for showings because we usually go to a restaurant and he gets to eat total crap.
In the past week, we have been to the Aquarium three times. My new fav pasttime... probably because it is in a mall, right next to a starbucks, so after he has his fun, I get to have mine!

Playing house with J.

You know, i remember writing a lot about how our little boy has changed... 'he can hold his head up!' 'he grabs my finger now!' and I realize that the majority of the changes back then were all physical. And yeah, he is still growing physically but what we are witnessing more is a psychological change...
He pretty much understands everything we say now. We are trying to curb our swearing and toliet humor (ok, not really, but a little bit.)
He now knows what he wants, and he wants it NOW! Prime example: his bucky badger shirt is his all time fav shirt. He doesn't care if it is lying in a heap on the floor caked with food and dirt, surrounded by stink-bomb diapers. He's wearing it!
And, he is off and running to do whatever.the.h.e.l.l. he wants.! So basically I/we have become his shadow. Long gone are the days of breastfeeding him while sitting at the 'puter surfing the web. Come to think of it, long gone are the days of sitting in general. Sometimes at night when I am cashed after a loong day being a shadow I lay on the floor next to him while he plays. He hates that so he grabs fistfuls of my hair and pulls me into an upright position. Caveman-like (or should I say cave-toddler-like?), but extremely effective.
((Update: I had to delete part of this blog. Waaaay too much wierd spam.))
He does a lot of cute things too. LOVES dancing. Which I die over. Loves to do "cheers" with the sippy cup.
so, that's where we are at these days.
